Biography

Yves Kuhn joined Pictet Asset Management, the institutional asset manager of Banque Pictet, in London in 1994. Yves was instrumental in launching a range of investment vehicles for Pictet, focused on Emerging Europe.At the age of 33, he was asked by a partner of Pictet to co-found an FCA-regulated alternative asset manager. Yves was again instrumental in driving the assets under management to USD 1 bn. He left in 2007 after 9 years.Yves then worked for Swisscanto, the asset manager of the Swiss cantonal banks, setting up their Emerging Markets desk.

In 2012, he was appointed as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL). His internet-based video recordings on investment topics were regularly viewed by an audience of in excess of 40,000. In 2014, he was voted Investment Manager of the year by over 50 senior investment executives.He has served on a wide range of boards of investment trusts and mutual funds as a director or as a chair, regulated by either the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, or by the CSSF in Luxembourg.Yves holds an MSc from the Swiss Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zuerich and an MBA from RSM (Erasmus University) in Rotterdam. He has an International Director´s Programme Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD, and he has been admitted  to be an ILA certified Director.
